A Bath Bomb - Swirls, Spins and Sizzles
Bath bombs or bath fizzies are like giant pills that fizz and foam when dropped in the bath. A bath bomb sizzles, spins, swirls and releases an aromatic scent and skin-softening agents. Often, they color the bath water too. Bath time is fun, especially for the kids and teens when these fizzies are used in the bath water. There are different kinds of bath fizzies for moisturizing or softening the water. These bath balls of fun are basically citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and fillers like cornstarch. Aromatherapy oils or other fragrance is added to them. When they are dropped in the bath water, get ready for the chemical magic. These fizzies are some of the best bath products on the market.
Bath fizzies are generally relaxing and can be therapeutic. Some of the bath fizzies have herbs crushed into the mixture as well. The milk bath fizzies are nice because the lactic acid in the milk loosens skin cells for exfoliation. Your skin has a dewy fresh glow with any kind of milk product in the bath.

If you want to make your own bath fizzy, try this recipe:
1/3 part citric acid
2/3 parts baking soda
witch hazel
Blend the citric acid and baking soda really well. You don't want your bath fizzy to be grainy. Use dry pigments to color the mixture. Add the aromatherapy fragrance. When this is combined well, spritz with a spray bottle the witch hazel into the mixture while stirring. Use this with care because too much causes a chain reaction before your eyes. When all of the bath mixture sticks together well, put it in a mold of your choice. Hearts, round, flowers, it's your choice. Pack the bath fizzy tightly to have a durable strong bath product. Don't wait here, your bath fizzy hardens quickly. Take the bath fizzy out of the mold after a few minutes and harden for three to four hours.
